Submit for review

Submit shows everything Apple needs before review, and sends the version when the list is complete.

The checklist

• Every field is within its limit and no language is empty
• Screenshots exist for the source language
• A valid build is attached and export compliance is answered
• The age rating is answered, a category is set and the privacy URL is set
• The App Review contact is complete
• On the Free plan, a submission is left this year

Release method

Choose automatic, manual, or a scheduled date.

Submitting

The confirmation sheet names the key that will sign the submission and asks you to tick a box. TakeOff then creates the review submission, adds the version and submits it; if a step fails, the earlier steps are rolled back. A submission can be withdrawn while it waits.

After submitting

The status screen shows Waiting for Review or In Review, with how long the version has been in the queue. Press Sync (⌘R) to read the latest status. If the version is rejected, TakeOff shows the next steps with links to App Store Connect and the App Review Guidelines. Promotional Text can still be edited while the version is in review.
