Getting started

Drafts and push

Which edits wait for a push, which are written at once, and what a push shows you.

TakeOff keeps two kinds of changes apart. Drafts are saved on this Mac and sent when you push. Immediate actions are written to App Store Connect as soon as you confirm them, and their screens say so.

Drafts, sent with the next push

  • Store text in every language
  • App Information: categories, URLs, copyright, version string, content rights
  • Age rating answers
  • Pricing and availability
  • Screenshot order and new screenshots
  • App Review details

Written at once

  • Creating a new version
  • Adding or removing a language
  • Uploading a build and attaching it to the version
  • Creating, editing or deleting in-app purchases and subscriptions
  • App Review attachments
  • Submitting for review

Pushing

Press Push in the toolbar or ⇧⌘P. The push sheet lists every change, field by field, before and after. Anything over Apple’s character limit is held back and stays visible with the reason, so you can fix it later.

The push runs without blocking the window, and the result is reported per language. Each language is written on its own: if Apple refuses one, that language keeps what the App Store showed before, and its card shows Apple’s error with Open the field or Skip this language. The other languages are already written.
